🇮🇩 Bali, Indonesia

Bali...Bali...Bali

Now due to me making this blog almost 2 years after I went to Bali, I am just sharing photos mainly of food, activity and sightseeing!

.

.

.

Here we go!

We stayed at "Favehotel" in Seminyak.

This was the beach next to our hotel!

.

.

.

The second hotel we stayed at was "Uppala Villa."

We were a group of five girls, so this was perfect for

self-catering and comfort!

Check out their website below for more info.

< FOOD >

🍴 Local restaurant near our hotel, great food!

Coconut water...this girl couldn't get enough of it!

.

.

Menu: Falafel with a variety of dips and salad.

.

.

.

🍴 Nalu Bowls

Nalu Bowls! You must find Nalu bowls and go!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For the more information visit their website and find one near you.

.

.

.

🍴 Sisterfields Cafe

Menu: Eggs Benedict

.

.

Menu: I believe this is the 'Acai berry bowl'

.

.

This was one of the pricey restaurants,

but they have great food and it is super popular.

Check out the website below for more info!

.

.

.

🍴 Traditional Indonesian street food!

Menu: Pork, nuts, rice with chilli sauce.

Midnight treat!

An Indonesian friend motorcycled to an open food van

saying that we all had to try this.

Sweet trip, and the food taste good!

.

.

.

🍴 More Local food

Menu: Rice with a variety of Indonesian dishes.

Here I tried 'tempeh' for the first time.

'Tempeh is a traditional soy product originating from Indonesia.

It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process

that binds soybeans into a cake form'.

.

.

.

🍴 Guilty to say...yes...we went to Pizza Hut.

Menu: Coconut milkshake with chocolate.

Betcha can't find this anywhere but in Bali!

.

.

.

🍴 Dessert!

Menu: Ice lollies with fruits inside

.

.

.

🍴The Menega cafe, Jimbaran

You can eat with your feet dipped in the sand!

Menu: Every kind of seafood you can imagine

There are so many seafood restaurants to eat at the beach,

but this one was recommended by a friend! Check out their website below for more info :)

🌊 Diving!

After having lunch at this restaurant, we went for a little dip!

.

.

.

🌊 Surfing

Our first time surfing.

Luckily, we had our personal surf guide!

So close to the shore...

.

.

.

🌊 Paragliding!

There are so many activities available on each beach.

It is a bit pricey but it's defo worth it if you enjoy the thrill!

.

.

.

🌊 Scuba diving!

Me contemplating whether I'm gonna like it or not.

.

.

Yep..I decided.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Really was an awesome experience : )

.

.

.

🌊 And of course, just chilling at the beach

Take 1

Take 2

Take 3

There we go!

< Theatre >

🎭 Pura Dalem Taman Kaja (Kecak Fire Dance)

This was the view from where the show was held.

.

.

The Kecak is a form of Balinese dance and music drama

that was developed in the 1930s.

It was beautiful to watch how they involved the sunset

within their performance.

The show started with the sun risen and ended with the sun set.

< Beach >

📷 Padang Padang Beach

Yes! This is the beach that comes out in the film 'Eat Pray Love'

It was a lot more touristy than we thought, but the water was so clear.

< Flux Lifeground >

Although we made some great memories...

The main reason why we went to Bali was for a Summer Theatre Camp.

Across 2 weeks, we were invited to hold a Theatre Camp for children in Bali.

This is a selfie of the group!

.

.

Here's the crew!

.

.

A few pictures of what we got up to!

Our project was called 'Before after school'.

A devised piece, consisting of each of our students' personal stories.

Directed and written by us!

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT"

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves,

so be wise as serpents and pure as doves."

Matthew 10:16
