🇺🇸 St. Louis / Chicago, USA

< St. Louis >

St. Louis is a major city in Missouri along the Mississippi River.

It was my first time in America,

I couldn't get over how wide the roads were.

.

.

Can't go anywhere without a car!

So, best to rent one.

Voila!

🍴 First meal of the trip - Rally's

.

.

.

.

The main reason why we came to St. Louis was to help

my sister start her new chapter at Covenant Theological Seminary.

No joke..but this place is like Hogwarts.

B-E-A-utiful campus!

Photo of the campus, taken from their website.

It really is a lovely environment and I am so happy that

she is a part of this community.

You can roam around their website below : )

.

.

.

.

After days of moving in, we finally got time

to check out St. Louis before our trip to Chicago.

.

.

🐘 Saint Louis Zoo

Located in Forest Park

A selfie at the entrance of the Zoo.

.

.

Unfortunately, I didn't take a lot of photos due to the excitement...

Just took a bunch of selfies...ha

But check out their website for their prices, activities and shows!

.

.

We did a lot more, but sadly didn't take any more photos :(

.

.

Now here is one place you MUST visit!

.

.

.

📷 The Gateway Arch

There are nice cafes and restaurants in this area

and of course the 'Busch Stadium'.

.

.

.

.

🇺🇸 < Chicago >

A 4hr 30 drive from St. Louis to Chicago.

The drive is okay when

you've got a view like this for the whole way.

.

.

.

Finally, we arrived! In the hub of downtown Chicago, I discovered my first dimple.

.

.

.

Here are some of the things we did in Chicago.

.

.

.

📷 Millennium Park

"Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago in Illinois, US, and originally intended

to celebrate the second millennium."

Loved the Art work in the park!

.

.

We also visited 'The Art Institute of Chicago'.

.

.

.

💁 Cloud Gate

"The public sculpture is the centrepiece of the AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park,

by Indian-British artist Anish Kapoor, also known as "The Bean"."

I swear you could fry an egg on it....it was so hot.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND to visit the Millennium Park,

there is so much to see!

.

.

.

🏢 The Willis Tower Skydeck

Also referred to as 'Sears Tower',

is a 108-story, 1,450-foot skyscraper.

Sneaky peak of what it may feel like once you are up there.

Here we are!

.

.

The view was quite amazing...

Embrace the city of Chicago.

.

.

.

💃 Musical Night

Dirty Dancing at Cadillac Palace Theatre

Great musical!

It's worth spending a bit more to watch a musical or a play when in Chicago.

.

.

.

.

After a few days, we were back on the road to St.Louis!

As I write this, I am currently once again in St. Louis.

Came back from Chicago last week.

Definitely recommend you to visit both cities! Both are great places to rest.
